Tips to Make Unpacking Easier

Tips to Make Unpacking Easier

in Local Moves, Long Distance Moves, Moving & Storage, Piano Movers

(part one)

As a premier moving and storage company, 3 Guys Moving is pleased to offer tips and advice to help ease the stress of moving. Our next series of articles will provide a series of tips on how to make the unpacking process easier. Let’s take a look:

BE ORGANIZED WHEN PACKING

Whether you are packing yourself or hiring movers and packers to do it for you, it is extremely important to be organized when packing. The more organized you are now, the easier it will be later. Clearly mark each box with its contents and designated room. Remove or set aside items you do not wish to take with you before the full service movers arrive.

TAKE ESSENTIAL ITEMS WITH YOU

Consider taking essential items such as medications, personal items, documents, cleaning products, etc. with you vs. having the movers and packers handle them. This ensures they are readily accessible when you arrive at your new home.

DESIGNATE AN AREA IN EACH ROOM FOR BOXES

In addition to planning placement of furniture, you should also set aside space for your full service movers to stack the boxes that belong in each room. Having the movers and packers set boxes in their respective rooms vs. in one central area of the house makes it much easier when you unpack.

If you are planning an upcoming move, we can help. No job is too big or small for our full service movers. In fact, we are one of the area’s most trusted piano movers and have extensive experience moving fragile and sensitive items. 3 Guys Moving is a full service moving and storage company with local movers, long distance movers and storage facilities designed to handle any type of move.
